Last year I put together a number of resources to help those of your wishing to undertake a Project 365 Album. As much as I would love to, in the end I really can't take a photo a day .. I just get distracted with life I guess.

Well, with all the playing around with the website trying to make sure that everything is working, I almost forgot to give you the little Quick Page I created with L'il Monsters. I really do love this kit .. it is so bright and fun ...

Well as I was sorting out bits and pieces on my hard drive I found the last part of Purple Fantastic that I had never finished .. well I had finished it, but I had not packaged it up and uploaded. Sometimes, when cleaning up the hard drive, I come across something that is all finished, but I just had not got around to posting yet ... and this morning was one of those moments.

It is just some Black & White bits and pieces that I had packaged up together, it has been uploaded for registered users (remember registration is free!!, just click here to register).

Well the weekend is here, and although I have still officially been working the last two weeks, I have actually been at home with the kids. William has been quite ill on and off the last two weeks, and has relapsed again this evening with fever and headaches.

Anyway I have enjoyed being back behind the drawing board and creating again .. I also sent out a Newsletter today, that was a miracle, it has been forever!

Yay! .. Finally .. I resigned from my job this week .. do you know what that means? It means more time for digi scrapping and designing! I am so happy with my choice. The boys need me to be here, to be here to help and support them, I need to be able to clean, do the laundry, cook etc before they get home from school. I am completely happy with my decision. I am going to go back to relief teaching so that I can bring in a bit of money. So yay for me :)

Do you love overlays? I do! I love the versatility, the flexibility and the difference they can make to your creations. I love playing with textures and turning them into overlays, and I love using them.

I have another Overlay for you today, but I also did some playing so you could see just two of the ways that it could be used!

Firstly I took one of the papers from my Moody Kit

I then applied the overlay, played with layer styles, and opacity and fill until I got an effect that I liked. And it came out like this.

Not a huge difference, but a subtle change that I really liked.

I then had a play with a photo .. this is a cute photo of William at the Japanese Embassy, checking out the Koi Pond.

And again I put on the overlay, changed its dimensions, played with the layer styles and opacity and fill. And now it looks like this.

 I quite like the effect.

Now these have been done very quickly, but you get the idea. All you have to do is experiment!

So here is the Overlay for you to download ...
