Well the weekend is here, and although I have still officially been working the last two weeks, I have actually been at home with the kids. William has been quite ill on and off the last two weeks, and has relapsed again this evening with fever and headaches. Anyway I have enjoyed being back behind the drawing board and creating again .. I also sent out a Newsletter today, that was a miracle, it has been forever! I have the next part of Purple Fantastic for Subscribers
Subscribers can download this from here. For more information about Subscribing you can see here. And I have another Overlay for you to play with! I am having great fun with these, and don't forget that you can now use my overlays to make Freebies for you to give away on your blog (no selling of these though!)

For those of you that love Overlays, I hope you enjoy my growing collection. I have been asked a few times about the TOU related directly to Overlays so I though I would state it here (as well us updating my TOU). 1. If the Preview is on a 'CU Tools' background, then absolutely use the item for any purpose you will, I have no problems with any commercial gain you get for these. 2. Most of my overlays are created from a variety of free textures. These are downloaded from a variety of sources, but most frequently from Lost+Taken. As the textures were free, and the overlays I created were free, there is to be no commercial gain to be made from these. I like to think of these as a kind of 'pay it forward' item. BUT please feel free to create FREEBIES with these overlays (please note this only applies to my overlays on this page, and to no other item on the site unless specifically stated). I would love a link back, and send me a link (just so I can admire what you have created). I hope this makes sense, but please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you have any questions. And now for my newest Overlay ..

I told you I had lots of bits and pieces happening .. here is another Worn Overlay for you!
I love how this one turned out! Have fun with it! (A few people have asked whether they can use the Worn Overlays for Commercial Use, I have gotten the original Textures from Lost+Taken, a very cool Texture Site. Caleb gives away the textures for free, and so I like to giveaway the overlays I have created from the textures for free as well. Feel free to use the overlays you use the for things that you give away, ie/ Freebies on your blog, QP's etc and not to sell. If I have created the original texture, like the paper flakes, then these are able to be used for financial gain! I hope that explains it. Any item with a 'CU Tools' backing can be used for financial gain).

Have you made these .. fold paper, that cut out bits, unfold and then you have a beautiful snowflake! My kids have been making heaps of these lately, I think William learnt how to do them at school and the older two boys joined the band wagon! So I have scanned them, and been playing around getting them ready to use digitally. The will be subscriber items, but I have the first one for you all to try as a sample. The zip file contains, the original flake as a PNG, and desaturated PNG file, a layered PSD file with clipping mask, and a sample item that I made with it. It has been folded and handcut by Thomas, my middle boy, and he is pleased as punch I have used his first! I hope you like it!

Wow, I am overwhelmed by the response for the Worn Overlay Texture. If you have downloaded it, and had a play I would love to hear how you went. Did you get the desired results? Do you need a tutorial on how to use them? If there were any other problems! Just click on the 'Contact Us' link above and let me know. Before I go any further just thought I better thank Caleb over at Lost+Taken, it is an awesome Free Texture site and that is where I got the textures to create the worn overlays I am working on at the moment. There is so much to look at, and Caleb lets you download them for free, so go and have a look at don't forget to say thanks! So here is today's effort ..
Subscriber News Just quickly, I have had a number of new subscribers this week, and I haven't gotten around to activating their downloads. Have no fear, I will get to it, but with school holidays things have been hectic. You will not lose any access, as I will activate your 6 months from when your subscription is started, and everything stays available for download. So my apologies, but thankyou so much for Subscribing. Your tiny contribution helps to keep this site active and I am ever so grateful! Also, please make sure that your Paypal email address is correct, because that is the one that I use for correspondence. I few times I have emailed back new subscribers asking for confirmation and received no reply. I can't activate your account without know who you are! Thanks again, and please be patient. I am getting there!

Phew, the stress involved in this freebie! It just would not upload last night, so you had to wait until this morning to get it! It is my first go at creating a worn paper overlay, so I would love to hear your thoughts. I have included the overlay and clipping mask as separate PNG files, as well as a layered PSD files, so that most people can use it with no problems. Because of that, the file is huge (about 90mb), if you just like the PNG's, just let me know and I can make a separate download. Anyway, here is the preview ...
